'Judge Judy' renewed through 2012

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Judge Judy Sheindlin has signed a new deal with CBS Television Distribution to continue headlining her popular U.S. court show through 2012.

"'Judge Judy' is the unsung hero of syndication, consistently delivering fantastic ratings to our station partners, and we're really proud it's the only syndicated show growing year to year," John Nogawski, president and chief operating officer of CTD said in a statement Tuesday. "The show's success is all due to one incredible woman -- Judy Sheindlin. We couldn't be happier to have Judy in our family for years to come."
