Aguilera, Bratman welcome baby boy

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Pop singer Christina Aguilera and her music executive husband, Jordan Bratman, welcomed a baby boy into their family this weekend in Los Angeles.

A representative for the couple confirmed the "Beautiful" singer had given birth to a son, adding that the 27-year-old singer was doing well after delivering her first child, People magazine reported Sunday.

"Christina and Jordan are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy!" the unidentified representative said following Saturday's birth. "Mom is resting and doing well!"

Aguilera's pregnancy had been the focus of countless media reports in recent months, including several that detailed the singer's alleged attempts to keep her medical condition a secret.

But People reported the "Stripped" star quickly addressed those rumors, saying she had simply not been overly promoting the fact she was pregnant.

"Because I hadn't said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that's not the case at all. I just wasn't commenting. I'm not being like, 'Hey, everybody, I'm pregnant!'" Aguilera said in November. "I'm not that girl."
