
NEW YORK, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- The National Board of Review Wednesday named "No Country for Old Men" best film of 2007, the organization announced in New York.
The adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel also took the prizes for ensemble cast and for Joel and Ethan Coen's screenplay adaptation.
Tim Burton won for best director for "Sweeney Todd." George Clooney was named best actor for "Michael Clayton" and Julie Christie won best actress for "Away From Her."
The best original screenplay award went to Diablo Cody for "Juno" and Nancy Oliver for "Lars and the Real Girl."
Casey Affleck won the best supporting actor prize for "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Robert Ford" class="tpstyle">Coward Robert Ford," while Amy Ryan won for best supporting actress for "Gone Baby Gone," directed by Affleck's brother, Ben -- who won for best directorial debut.
"The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" was named best foreign film. "Body of War" was hailed as best documentary and "Ratatouille" won for best animated feature.
The rest of the NBR top 10 are: "The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford," "Atonement," "The Bourne Ultimatum," "The Bucket List," "Into The Wild," "Juno," "The Kite Runner," "Lars And The Real Girl," "Michael Clayton" and "Sweeney Todd."
