Groban's 'Noel' tops U.S. album chart

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Josh Groban's holiday CD, "Noel," is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart this week, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.

"Noel" is the first Christmas-themed album to top the chart since Kenny G's 1994 offering, "Miracles," the Web site noted.

Alicia Keys' CD, "As I Am," which was last week's top-selling album, fell to No. 2 on The Billboard 200.

Coming close behind 2was the compilation disc "Now 26" at No. 3, Garth Brooks' "The Ultimate Hits" at No. 4 and the Eagles' "Long Road out of Eden" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top 10 are the soundtrack to Disney's "High School Musical 2" at No. 6; Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride" at No. 7; Celine Dion's "Taking Chances" at No. 8; Chris Brown's "Exclusive" at No. 9 and Jordin Sparks' self-titled CD at No. 10.
