Grammer, Seymour displaced by fires

MALIBU, Calif., Oct. 24 (UPI) -- TV stars Kelsey Grammer and Jane Seymour have been driven from their homes by wildfires blazing across in Southern California, E! Online reported.

Grammer, who stars in the sit-com "Back to You," told E!'s "Daily 10" he turned the evacuation into an adventure for his young daughter.

"All the lights were out. It was actually kind of fun. My daughter was nervous in the beginning. She woke up (and asked,) 'Daddy, what's the matter?' I said: 'Oh, honey, it's nothing. Just relax. Come on, we're going to have some fun.' So, she shined the flashlight around, and we got out. It was fine."

"Dancing with the Stars" contestant Jane Seymour told "Extra" her husband stayed behind to mind their home.

"He's standing there with the hose. There was a mandatory evacuation but he refused to leave," Seymour said after her "Dancing with the Stars" performance. "I haven't seen him in two days. I begged him to leave."

Meanwhile, film star and pilot John Travolta said he has been observing the fires from his private plane.
