Spears attends custody hearing

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Pop star Britney Spears attended Thursday's hearing in Los Angeles on the custody of her children, TMZ.com has reported.

Los Angeles County Court Commissioner Scott Gordon granted her one supervised, overnight visit a week with her children.

Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has physical custody of their toddler sons until further notice.

Her lawyer asked that Spears be allowed overnight visits with the boys.

"Ms. Spears did speak (at the hearing)," court spokesman Allan Parachini told People.com, "and her voice was soft and respectful."

The outcome of the hearing was reportedly a compromise between the two sides.

Spears wanted more time with the kids, while Federline didn't want her to have any overnight visits.

People.com said Spears told reporters, "I'm good, thank you," as she entered the court, but that she looked solemn and declined to comment as she left 45 minutes later.
