LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- British actor Jude Law says he has decided to ignore the paparazzi that seem to follow his every move.
Law was reportedly arrested in London last month after a scuffle with a photographer.
"I have turned over a new leaf," Law told reporters in New York Tuesday, while promoting his new film, "Sleuth."
"I have spent so many years ranting and raving and whining about these people, I have decided now to just ignore them," he said. "The more you rant and rave, it doesn't have any effect. They're there for some reason. Sometimes it does get to (be) too much. For me, the line is don't be in the face of my children. ... I try to live a quiet life."
Law said he doesn't understand why celebrity gossip is now considered news.
"The reason I find that breathtaking is I've never had any interest in what anyone else is doing, how much weight they've put on or lost, whether they're going out with or what their kids eat," he said. "I just don't care. There are so many more beautiful and awful and brilliant things going on in the world."
