Walken to work for 'Five Dollars'

HOLLYWOOD, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Christopher Walken and Alessandro Nivola will star in Hollywood's "Five Dollars a Day," a road movie that plays a con man father against his son.

Walken will play a con man who boasts of living royally on $5 a day; Nivola will portray his son jailed for one of dad's crimes.

Nigel Cole is slated to direct "Five Dollars A Day," which is based on a script by Neal and Tippi Dobrofsky, Variety reported Thursday. Carol Baum, Jane Goldenring and Kia Jam are producing.

ThinkFilm, a division of Capitol Films, will release the project, scheduled to begin production in New Mexico and Atlantic City, N.J., in September.
