Rowling relieved she's done with Harry

LONDON, July 6 (UPI) -- British author J.K. Rowling says she's relieved to finally be done with Harry Potter.

Rowling said she was "sobbing my heart out" and "downed half a bottle of champagne" in a hotel room as she neared the end of the seven-book saga, The Telegraph reported Friday.

The final installment in the Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," goes on sale July 21.

"Finishing the book is a relief," she said. "I can't think of anyone who could know how I feel.

"Actually finishing it was the most remarkable feeling I've ever had," she said. "(I felt) euphoria, devastated, when I finished one chapter near the end. I absolutely howled, it had been planned for so long."

One tidbit she revealed about the ending is that the final word won't be "scar" as previously predicted by many.

"'Scar' is quite near the end, but it's not the last word," she said.

The young wizard's head is marked with a lightning bolt scar.
