Victoria Beckham's reality show shortened

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., June 14 (UPI) -- NBC has announced that Victoria Beckham's reality show, chronicling her family's move to Beverly Hills, Calif., will air as a one-hour special in mid-July.

"Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" will air on July 16, coinciding with the Beckham's move from Europe to the United States, People magazine reported Thursday.

"Viewers will get a first-hand glimpse into what it's like to be one of the most sought-after celebrities in the world," said NBC's Craig Plestis. "Victoria's every move is documented by the paparazzi, but only our cameras have been allowed inside the world of what being Victoria Beckham is really like."

The special was originally supposed to be a six-part reality series but had to be compacted after her husband, David Beckham, was recalled to play on the English national soccer team.

"Even though the format has changed a bit, Victoria is really happy with how it has worked out," said a friend. "It is a first for her, filming in America."
