HOLLYWOOD, June 7 (UPI) -- "The Painted Veil" star Naomi Watts is set to headline the Hollywood adaptation of "We Are All the Same" for the Bureau of Moving Pictures production company.
"Hotel Rwanda" co-writer Keir Pearson is handling the screen adaptation of the story about Gail Johnson, a white South African woman who adopted an AIDS-infected black child, and then traveled around the world with the child to raise AIDS awareness, Variety reported Thursday. ABC's "Nightline" correspondent Jim Wooten wrote the book, which was published in 2004.
Watts' next screen appearance is "Eastern Promises," a thriller directed by David Cronenberg.
