Marshall, Weinstein reunite for 'Nine'

The pair previously teamed up on another film adaptation of a Broadway musical -- "Chicago," which won six Oscars, including best picture.

Marshall will produce "Nine" with John DeLuca through Lucamar Productions. Marshall and DeLuca will also choreograph the film together, as they did "Chicago," Variety reported.

Maury Yeston composed the music and lyrics for the 1982 Broadway production, with a book by Arthur Kopit.

Originally adapted by Mario Fratti, the musical was inspired by Federico Fellini's "8½." It focuses on a film director as he tries to make a movie while pressured by the demands of all the women in his life.
