Gwen Stefani wants a second child

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star Gwen Stefani has announced on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she is ready to have another baby.

But she said this time around she would rather not go on tour while pregnant, People magazine reported Saturday.

"It's in the itinerary. I'm ready to go," Stefani, 37, told DeGeneres.

Stefani said she didn't have a preference about how far apart her next child and her son Kingston, 8 months, should be.

"It's not really up to me. I feel like it's this big miracle and it's all written out there, (but) hopefully not during the tour," she said.

Stefani will kick off her two-month 2007 U.S. tour April 21 in Las Vegas.

She also revealed to DeGeneres that she takes care of Kingston at nights.

"We have someone in the daytime that comes in, but at night that's my job," she said.

"That's my turn," she explains. "It's really hard but it's actually fun. He's not going to be this little -- it goes so fast. It's disgusting how fast it goes. So in the nights I just tell myself, enjoy it because it's going to be over with."
