MONTREAL, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Thousands of fans in Montreal became birthday well-wishers for Justin Timberlake, serenading him with "Happy Birthday to You" between songs at his concert.
During the two-hour concert, fans held up homemade "Happy Birthday" signs and twice spontaneously broke into "Happy Birthday to You," People magazine said. The auditorium's video screens flashed "Happy Birthday Justin."
Hip-hop rapper and producer Timbaland, who worked on the "FutureSex/LoveSounds" album, toasted Timberlake with a shot of tequila. After the final song, Timbaland presented the birthday boy with a white frosted birthday cake dappled with decorations and topped with candles.
"For y'all who don't know, this is my friend," Timbaland told the crowd at Wednesday's concert.
"Thank you very much. This has been a totally amazing evening," Timberlake said. "Thank you for making my 26th birthday so amazing."
