NEW YORK, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Former "The View" co-host Star Jones testified as a witness in a 20-year-old homicide case being tried in a federal court in New York City.
Jones was subpoenaed to testify about a statement she took when she was an assistant district attorney in New York, the New York Post said Tuesday. The case involves two men, Tyrone "T-Black" Hunter and Adrian "A" Payne, who are on trial for drug-dealing and murder.
Jones said she remembered little about the case.
"I don't recall the specifics. It was 20 years ago," she told defense attorneys Monday during her three minutes on the stand.
Prosecutors played a sound recording of the interview she conducted with one of the victims, who later allegedly was tortured and killed by Hunter because he witnessed a killing.
