Rocker Ani DiFranco has daughter

BUFFALO, N.Y., Jan. 24 (UPI) -- American indie rock singer Ani DiFranco and her boyfriend, music engineer and producer Mike Napolitano, are the proud parents of a baby daughter.

Petah Lucia, weighing 7 pounds, 8 ounces, was born at the couple's Buffalo, N.Y., home on Jan. 20, People magazine said Wednesday. She is the couple's first child.

"It was a long delivery, but mom and baby are both doing very well," says a representative for DiFranco's label, Righteous Babe Records.
