LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Jon Peters, who produced such films as "The Color Purple" and "Rain Man," had a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him in Los Angeles this week.
The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, alleges that the Oscar-winning producer sexually harassed his former personal assistant, Shelly Morita, during their tenure together, the New York Daily News reported.
The 39-year-old alleges that Peters repeatedly harassed her while they were working together on the set of "Superman Returns" and exposed himself to her 3-year-old daughter.
Morita's suit also claims that after exposing his genitals to her daughter, Peters continued to joke about the incident with her employees.
The lawsuit also named the producer's companies, Outback Pictures Inc. and J.P. Organization Inc., and is seeking unspecified damages for the alleged instances of harassment.
