LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- The highly anticipated trailer for the Hollywood adaptation of "The Simpsons" TV series has been scheduled to debut on Fox.
Fans of "The Simpsons" will get their first peek at the film version of the perennial TV favorite when Fox airs the trailer during Sunday night's season premiere of the popular animated series, IGNFilmForce.com reported.
After more than a decade of speculation regarding a film version of the cartoon, "The Simpsons Movie" is scheduled to be released on July 27.
The film will feature the efforts of many of those associated with the Matt Groening TV creation, including writer Groening and director David Silverman.
IGNFilmForce.com said the cinematic interpretation of the series, on the air since 1989, will focus on the results when Homer Simpson accidentally poisons the citizens of Springfield.
