NEW YORK, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- After New York's Video Music Awards ceremonies and seven days of pre-show festivities, attendees partied at scores of events until dawn.
Beyonce hosted a Thursday night party -- also her 25th birthday party -- at the 40/40 Club. It was so crowded police and bodyguards made stars wait to get in, MTV reported.
Inside, people danced on the staircase while the awards ceremony replayed on the big screen in the upstairs ESPN room. Downstairs, Beyonce was featured on all the screens.
The 40/40 VIP room was packed with stars, including Andre 3000, John Legend, Young Jeezy, NBA star Kenyon Martin, Nicole Richie, Rick Ross, Slim Thug, Fabolous, Brand Nubian's Lord Jamar, Kelly Rowland, L.A. Reid and Mathew, Solange and mama Tina Knowles.
Lil' Kim hosted her own party at Nikki Beach Midtown where Ludacris, Missy Elliott, Fantasia and Snoop Dogg danced alongside regular working people until 3:45 a.m.
Diddy threw a late "secret" party at the Door rumored at begin at 3 a.m., but already packed by 3:02 a.m.
Virgin Records held its own party at Marquee highlighted by Fat Joe's performance. Everyone danced to JT's "SexyBack," the most popular party record during the awards week, MTV said.
