Rapper C-Murder's second murder trial

NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Rapper Corey Miller, formerly known as C-Murder, has been placed under house arrest after attending a Hurricane Katrina documentary in New Orleans.

Miller, who was allegedly out past his 10 p.m. curfew, was ordered to remain at home until the second trial in his second-degree murder charge from 2002.

The 35-year-old rapper is awaiting a retrial in the shooting of a 16-year-old outside a New Orleans nightclub. His original conviction was overturned after a judge ruled that prosecutors had withheld the criminal backgrounds of key state witnesses from the defense.

Miller admits he was at the premiere to meet with Spike Lee about a project but said he had returned home before 10.
