New made-for-TV 'Diff'rent Strokes' movie

NEW YORK, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- A made-for-TV movie that follows the travails of the child stars of the U.S. sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" is set to air on Labor Day.

The film is called "Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of 'Diff'rent Strokes,'" and tells the story of Willis, Kimberly and Arnold, characters on the U.S. sitcom.

The 2-hour movie, scheduled to air Labor Day on NBC, spans over the era from 1978 to 1986 when "Diff'rent Strokes" was one of the biggest shows on TV, due largely to the popularity of Gary Coleman, the child performer whose witty catchphrase, "Whatchu talkin' 'bout?" took the nation by storm, the New York Post reported Monday.

The movie also delves into the show's troubled aftermath, especially problems the three child stars faced.
