Blunt turns to mother to find new home

IBIZA TOWN, Spain, July 30 (UPI) -- English singer James Blunt has purchased a new villa on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza with the help of his impromptu real estate agent, his mother Jane.

The "Back to Bedlam" musician turned to his 56-year-old mother when he began looking for a new place to live and she chose the 150-year-old hilltop property on the Spanish island as his new locale, the Mail on Sunday said.

The 32-year-old singer has already spent time at the nearly $3.2 million villa with his girlfriend, lingerie model Petra Nemcova, and will soon begin writing his second album at the secluded location, the newspaper said.

Blunt, who previously lived in a cramped West London flat, asked his mother to find the property for him due to his hectic work schedule, and was very pleased with her choice.

"James's mum did plenty of legwork for him because he's been so busy with his work," a source told the Mail. "She viewed at least four properties on Ibiza before recommending this one. James visited and decided he wanted it straightaway."
