CHICAGO, July 10 (UPI) -- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers announced the next set of dates for the Highway Companions Tour with the Strokes, John Mayer and Frank Black.
Stevie Nicks will also appear at shows throughout the summer after playing with the Heartbreakers for their first eight shows, Pollstar.com reported Monday.
The tour's second leg starts July 29 and runs through Aug. 18, with Trey Anastasio, The Allman Brothers Band and The Derek Trucks Band as openers.
The third leg launches Sept. 14-15 with two shows at Chicago's Charter One Pavilion with the Strokes as the opening act. The Strokes will also open in four amphitheater shows in the South.
Frank Black takes over in Berkeley, Calif., Sept. 29-30, followed by Mayer in Phoenix Oct. 4.
Petty and his band are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year.
Petty's latest solo disc, Highway Companion, is slated for a July 25 release.
