Jay-Z and Beyonce don't tie the knot

LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- Rumors that Beyonce and Jay-Z were married over the Fourth of July weekend are not true, said a rep for Jay-Z.

The rumors surfaced after the couple spent the holiday in Chappaquiddick, Mass., just off Martha's Vineyard, In Touch Weekly reported Friday.

It didn't help that a source in Martha's Vineyard reported that the musical duo "were trying to rent out a huge house for the festivities" and that "everyone was talking about it!"

A rep for Jay-Z's record label, Def Jam, tells the real story, In Touch said: "They were there, but they didn't get married."
