LONDON, June 2 (UPI) -- Hollywood actors Frank Langella and Martin Sheen will portray former U.S. President Richard Nixon and British broadcaster David Frost on the London stage.

The production of Peter Morgan's "Frost/Nixon" is scheduled to open Aug. 10 and run through Oct. 7 at London's Donmar Warehouse, Daily Variety reported Friday.

The debut stage play from screenwriter Morgan re-creates the lead-up to Frost's legendary 1977 interviews with the former president.

Morgan wrote "The Deal," a TV drama about the relationship between British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his friend and rival, Gordon Brown, Variety said.

His film, "The Queen," with Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II, will receive a limited U.S. release in October.
