Maury Povich sued for sexual harassment

NEW YORK, April 24 (UPI) -- A lurid lawsuit filed in New York by a producer for "The Maury Povich Show" Monday charged the host with creating an atmosphere permeated by sex.

The $30 million suit filed by Bianca Nardi in New York Supreme Court claims Povich, who is married to newswoman Connie Chung, had "a long time, intimate and sexual relationship" with a staffer, which "created a hostile workplace that was sexually abusive to woman (sic)," TMZ.com reported.

Nardi also alleged she was forced to expose her breasts for photographs for the show and ordered to watch pornography in a private room with an executive producer.

A spokesman for "The Maury Povich Show" said an internal investigation failed to uphold any of Nardi's claims.

"We are aware of the allegations of harassment made by Ms. Nardi," the spokesman said. "We have done a complete and thorough investigation of her allegations of harassment and we are satisfied that there is no merit to them."
