"Dad Knap" will center around a man who kidnaps his father to try to build the relationship they never had.

Cook this week joined the cast of the psychological thriller, "Mr. Brooks," directed by Bruce Evans and also starring Kevin Costner, William Hurt and Demi Moore. It will mark the comic's first dramatic film role.

He just finished shooting the indie comedy "Employee of the Month" with Jessica Simpson.
