LOS ANGELES, March 30 (UPI) -- NBC's "Joey," Matt LeBlanc, and his wife of three years, Melissa, are getting a divorce, the couple announced Thursday.
The divorce petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by LeBlanc, 38, cites irreconcilable differences with his 41-year-old wife, People magazine reported.

Court documents say the couple have been living apart since Jan. 1 and the former "Friends" star is seeking joint custody of their daughter, Marina, 2.
The statement released by the couple says "the dissolution is amicable. They remain devoted parents and friends. For the sake of their family, they ask that their privacy be respected at this time."
The couple met in 1997 and married in 2003 after a five-year engagement.
