LOS ANGELES, March 25 (UPI) -- Actor Keith Carradine is suing Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano for wiretapping his phone lines while he was divorcing his ex-wife.
The Los Angeles Superior Court civil suit filed Friday by the actor and his fiancee, actress Hayley DuMond, claims Pellicano conspired with Sandra Will Carradine and two former Pacific Bell employees to listen to their phone conversations as part a vindictive campaign against him, The Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
Pacific Bell, now AT&T, as well as Carradine's ex-wife are also named in the suit.
The suit says the taps were placed on the actor's phones as part of an effort by his former wife to get leverage over him in their divorce proceedings.
"I was really shocked and frankly dismayed, and I just felt completely violated," Carradine told The Times. "It makes me really angry."
Sandra Carradine faces 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to lying to a federal grand jury about Pellicano's alleged wiretapping.
Federal authorities have indicted Pellicano and his associates for allegedly invading the privacy of a dozen people including Carradine and actors Sylvester Stallone, Garry Shandling and Kevin Nealon.
