'Potter' films dominate world box office

LONDON, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" hit the $600 million dollar international box office mark Friday, making it the fifth top-grossing movie of all time.

"Titanic" leads the international chart ranking box office receipts outside of the United States and Canada with $1.2 billion, the BBC reported.

No. 2 is "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" at $752 million, followed by "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" with $657 million and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" with $616 million.

The third Harry Potter movie, "The Prisoner of Azkaban," ranked ninth on the list at $545 million, the BBC said.

Production is already under way on "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," which is expected to hit theaters in 2007.
