LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Kimberlin Brown is known to CBS soap fans as villainous Sheila Carter, but the actress is a heroine to the family of a baby saved by her bone marrow.
Brown, who recently wrapped her latest stint on "The Young and the Restless," said she had been on a bone marrow registry and was notified she was a perfect match for a 14-month-old girl dying of leukemia, TV's "Extra" reported on its Web site Monday.

"It's just something that needed to be done," the mother of two said.
When she learned the transplant was a success, Brown said: "That's when it hit me. Is there anything more important that you can do in your life before you leave this world than to save someone else?"
