'Diddy' ad too racy for some retailers

NEW YORK, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Estee Lauder says some U.S. retailers are aghast over a sexy ad prepared for Sean "Diddy" Combs' new "Unforgivable" fragrance.

The cosmetic maker said in a news release that Diddy is working to redo the ad in time for the February launch date of his fragrance.

The ad showed the hip-hop entrepreneur in bed with two women on either side of him.

"It was unfortunate that some people were so uncomfortable with something with so much sexual presence, but we stand by it," Estee Lauder President John Dempsey said in the statement.

The controversy surrounding the ad has not hurt sales projections, however. Department stores are reportedly ordering the fragrance in large numbers, SOHH.com said.
