HONG KONG, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Hong Kong film star Tony Leung Ka-fai was given a suspended sentence for drunken driving and crashing his car into the back of a city bus.

Leung was found to have twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood after the October crash. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and also lost his driver's license for three years, the BBC said.

Leung also had a driving-uinder-the-influence conviction in 2002.

He was recently nominated in the best leading actor category at Taiwan's Golden Horse Film Festival for his role in the movie "Election."
