LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Actress Valerie Bertinelli filed for divorce in Los Angeles Tuesday, seeking an end to her 25-year marriage with rocker Eddie Van Halen.
Bertinelli, 45, cited irreconcilable differences in her petition against the 50-year-old guitar icon, People magazine reported.

The couple have been separated and living apart since October 2001, and a rep for Bertinelli called the breakup "amicable."
They have a 14-year-old son, Wolfgang.
