SCRANTON, Pa., Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Paintings by American masters Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol were stolen from the Everhart Museum in Scranton, Pa.
Thieves broke two sets of glass doors about 2:30 a.m. Friday and made off with the Pollock's 1949 "Springs Winter" and Warhol's 1984 "Le Grande Passion," the Scranton (Pa.) Times Tribune reported.
The Pollock painting's estimated value is $10 million while the Warhol was worth about $15,000, the newspaper reported.
Although police arrived at the museum roughly 4 minutes after a burglar alarm sounded, the thieves and their booty were no where to be found.
The museum's security cameras were not working when the burglary occurred.
The theft occurred on the eve of the museum's annual Everhart Ball, which was held nonetheless Saturday night with other paintings occupying the spots held by the missing artwork.
