Ashlee Simpson's album bows at No. 1

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Ashlee Simpson has notched her second No. 1 album with "I Am Me" debuting atop the Billboard 200 chart this week.

Simpson's sophomore album won the sales race over new releases from veterans Rod Stewart, Martina McBride, Stevie Wonder, Bun-B and Depeche Mode, Billboard noted.

Stewart's "Thanks for the Memories," the fourth in his "Great American Songbook" series, bowed at No. 2 followed by McBride's "Timeless" in the No. 3 spot, a career-best for the country singer.

Nickelback's "All the Right Reasons" was No. 4 and Wonder's "A Time to Love" debuted at No. 5.

Houston rapper Bun-B hit the chart at No. 6 with his solo effort "Trill," Depeche Mode's "Playing the Angel" is No. 7 and the Black Eyed Peas' "Monkey Business" held in the top tier at No. 8.

The Top 10 is filled out by Alicia Key's "Unplugged," which fell from last week's No. 1 to No. 9 and Kanye West's "Late Registration," which slid from No. 5 last week to No. 10.
