LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Hollywood child star Dakota Fanning will provide the voice of "Coraline" in the upcoming animated feature based on Neil Gaiman's bestselling novel.

Gaiman's story is about a young girl who walks through a secret door and into an alternate version of her life. The parallel reality appears to be much better than her real life, but plot takes a turn when her "new" parents decide they want to keep her in their world, The Reporter said.
