NASHVILLE, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Garth Brooks, Ralph Stanley, Terri Clark, Diamond Rio and Travis Tritt will be among the celebrants for Nashville's Grand Ole Opry's 80th anniversary.

Six special anniversary shows are scheduled over three days starting Oct. 11 at the Grand Ole Opry House, Billboard.com reported Friday.

The kickoff show will include performances by Trace Adkins, Clark, Del McCoury and others. Four shows are scheduled the following Friday and Saturday with special guest announcer Willard Scott from NBC's "Today" show.

The early show Oct. 15 will include the unveiling of a bronze statue of Opry legend Minnie Pearl. The monument will eventually be moved to the late comedian's hometown of Centerville, Tenn.
