
CHICAGO, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Rock star Jon Bon Jovi returns to the silver screen this week with the release of the horror thriller "Cry Wolf."
Bon Jovi, whose previous film credits include "U-571" and "Moonlight and Valentino," plays Rich Walker, a teacher at a private school who gets caught up in an urban legend about a serial killer.
"It's actually a pretty big release," Bon Jovi says. "It's a thriller. It's actually really good. Really good. It's a pretty substantial role in a pretty good movie."
Cry Wolf also stars Julian Morris, Lindy Booth, Jared Padalecki and Gary Cole.
Bon Jovi's acting will be curtailed a bit by the Tuesday release of his band's album, "Have a Nice Day." The group kicks off a 75-date tour to promote the album on Nov. 2 in Des Moines, Iowa.
