PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey, Destiny's Child, Alicia Keys and Missy Elliott were the big winners at the 2005 Lady of Soul Awards -- and none of them were there.

Aretha Franklin, however, was at the Pasadena (Calif.) Civic Auditorium to collect her Lena Horne Award for outstanding career achievements Wednesday night. She brought down the house with "Until You Come Back to Me" with Stevie Wonder on piano and her hit, "Respect," E! Online reported Thursday.

Carey won for Best Solo Single for "We Belong Together" and Best Solo Album for "The Emancipation of Mimi," while Destiny's Child scored Group Single for "Soldier" and Group Album for "Destiny Fulfilled." Keys' "If I Ain't Got You" was named Song of the Year and Elliott won Best Music Video for "Lose Control," E! Online said.

The Lady of Soul Awards are voted on by 1,600 artists and radio station representatives.

The gala will be syndicated for broadcast this month.
