Jennifer Tilly stuns poker pros

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Actress Jennifer Tilly has become the first winner of both the World Poker Tour Ladies Night III tournament and World Series' Ladies World Poker Championship.

Tilly -- who only started playing poker a year ago -- said her Ladies Night win at the Bicycle Casino Thursday proved her World Series win in June was "no fluke."

"I felt like I was suffering from the 'imposter syndrome,'" Tilly said in a news release. "I had these niggling self-doubts. But now I know I can really play. These women were extremely tough pros with blood lust at the poker table. My goal has always been to win a World Poker Tour event and now I've done it!"

With the win, Tilly earned a seat in the $25,000 buy-in World Poker Tour Championship next April at Bellagio in Las Vegas, the WPT said.

Tilly is starring in a new CBS sitcom "Out of Practice" with Henry Winkler, due to air this fall.

The WPT Ladies Night III tourney will air Oct. 22 on the Travel Channel.
