Mariah still queen of Top 100 singles

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" Thursday chalked up its 12th week atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.

The track's reign was interrupted for just one time this summer -- by Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" in June.

In fact, Billboard says, the strongest competition for "Together" may come from another Carey single, "Shake It Off," which jumped to No. 6 this week and is the chart's greatest radio play gainer.

The Pussycat Dolls' "Don't Cha" featuring Busta Rhymes spent a second week at No. 2, followed by Rihanna's "Pon de Replay" at No. 3 and Bow Wow's "Let Me Hold You" at No. 4.

The Foo Fighters fell to No. 2 on the Modern Rock chart after five weeks on top, supplanted by Gorillaz' "Feel Good Inc." On the Mainstream Rock list, the four-week No. 1 run of the Foo's "Best of You" ended as Seether's "Remedy" rebounded to notch a fifth non-consecutive week on top.

Toby Keith's "As Good As I Once Was" was No. 1 on the Hot Country chart for a sixth week in a row, while Rob Thomas' "Lonely No More" was No. 1 for a second week on the Adult Contemporary chart.
