LONDON, July 18 (UPI) -- Spice Girls fans anxiously awaiting a reunion of the British girl band can exhale now -- Mel C, aka "Sporty Spice," says it's never going to happen.
The Sunday Mirror quoted her as saying: "I would never get back together with the Spice Girls.
"I am getting tired and frustrated at all these stories about the Spice Girls getting back together," she said. "And I have not been in the studio working on songs."
The rumor mill has been working overtime on speculation Spice Girls would reunite next year for the 10th anniversary of "Wannabe," their first pop hit.
The singer said Virgin records is considering the release of a "Greatest Hits" album to commemorate the anniversary, but a reunion is definitely out of the question.
