Owen Wilson stepping into Danny Kaye role

LOS ANGELES, July 13 (UPI) -- Owen Wilson was reported close Wednesday to accepting the Danny Kaye lead role in a remake of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty."

The Mark Walters-directed film for Paramount will more closely follow the spirit and content of the 1939 James Thurber story than the 1947 Kaye classic, the Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.
