Culkin testifies on behalf of Jackson

SANTA MARIA, Calif., May 11 (UPI) -- Former child star Macaulay Culkin testified at Michael Jackson's California child molestation trial, calling the charges against the pop star "ridiculous."

"Absolutely not," Culkin answered Wednesday when asked if Jackson had ever touched him in a sexual way.

Before testifying, the "Home Alone" star had denied Jackson ever abused him during his frequent stays at the singer's Neverland ranch in the early 1990s.

When asked what he thought of the child molestation charges against Jackson, Culkin said they were "absolutely ridiculous."

Earlier, Jackson's ranch manager testified he never ordered the pop star's teenage accuser and his family to be held at Neverland against their will.

A grand jury indicted the 46-year-old celebrity last year on charges of molesting the boy, giving him alcohol and conspiring to hold him and his family captive in 2003.

Jackson pleaded not guilty to the charges and is free on $3 billion bail.
