LONDON, April 24 (UPI) -- Actress Helen Mirren will play Britain's Queen Elizabeth II in a movie that portrays the time following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Michael Sheen, who played Prime Minister Tony Blair in "The Deal," will again play the role of the prime minister in a drama that focuses on the relationship between the prime minister and the queen immediately after the death of the princess, reported the Sunday Telegraph.
The movie reveals Blair encouraged the queen to break her stay at Balmoral in Scotland to travel to London to address the nation on live television out of respect for the princess.
Mirren, who received an Oscar for her role as Queen Charlotte in "The Madness of King George," is currently playing Queen Elizabeth I in a new television drama.
