Chekhov feted in Ukranian festival

YALTA, Ukraine, April 13 (UPI) -- The characters Anton Chekov created return to his Yalta, Ukraine, home for the second Chekhov Seasons theater festival later this month.

Theater companies from Moscow and Kiev will take part in the festival, which features performances at the Yalta house and garden where Chekhov once lived, Russian news agency Novosti reports.

In addition to the Chekhov Seasons festival April 18-24, 60 researchers of Chekhov's works were expected for an international conference, the report said.
