'Celebrity Charades' features Swank, Lowe

HOLLYWOOD, April 12 (UPI) -- Hollywood couple Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe love the game of charades so much, they convinced cable's AMC to produce "Celebrity Charades."

AMC committed to six episodes in which two teams of 10 celebrities compete to raise money for the charity of their choice. The episodes will air five consecutive nights starting June 20.

Lowe and actor-friend Bob Balaban will host "Celebrity Charades," which Lowe said grew from frequent playing of the game with friends.

"We were talking about it at dinner one night and thought it would make for so much of the comedy and conflict that Hollywood writers are dying to capture," Lowe told the Hollywood Reporter.

Celebrities also will have dinner and mingle between rounds.

Swank will appear in later episodes of the show, which she, Lowe and Balaban are executive producing.
