Gwen Stefani faked high school band tryout

HOLLYWOOD, March 23 (UPI) -- Rich Girl singer Gwen Stefani said she faked playing piccolo to get into her Anaheim, Calif., high school marching band, TeenHollywood.com reported.

Stefani said she never learned the instrument and pretended she was playing it during marching band tryouts.

"You know you're not gonna hear it, anyways," Stefani said.

Once in the band, "I spent most of the time in the drum room making out with my boyfriend," the Rich Girl singer said.
