Some want Cleveland hall of fame induction

CLEVELAND, March 22 (UPI) -- The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is in Cleveland and so should be the hall of fame induction ceremonies, according to some city lawmakers.

Cleveland Councilwoman Dona Brady introduced a resolution Monday night to encourage the Hall of Fame's board of directors to consider naming Cleveland as the host of next year's ceremonies, WEWS-TV in Cleveland reported Tuesday.

This year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony was held in New York City.

"We have plenty of venues. We've got plenty of halls," Brady said. "All of the great musicians came through Cleveland on their way up the ladder and they're coming back here on their way down the ladder."

One councilmember said Cleveland may not have been considered for the induction ceremony because of the great cost of putting on the production and the price of the tickets that can cost up to $1,000 each.
